Our History
5th Geographical Representations Mr. Mac's Class 2019 20 Cbse
Mac’s List was created in 2001 by Mac Prichard, who still runs the business today. It all started after Mac moved from Salem to Portland, Oregon and started emailing job openings to a few dozen friends and colleagues. He wanted to keep in touch and share great work opportunities with his network.
People loved getting those emails and the list slowly grew through word of mouth. Mac’s List evolved organically from those first personal emails. We leveled up to a listserv, then an email newsletter and a simple jobs website. Mac made it official in 2014 when he got a business license and hired the first-ever Mac’s List employee.
Today, we offer a full-service platform for job seeking and hiring in the Pacific Northwest. We are a small team of dedicated professionals working to help local job seekers and employers connect through high quality job listings, accessible advice, and real conversations.
As Mac’s List grows, we strive to stay true to the values and commitment to service that started it all. Our ultimate goal remains the same as when Mac sent that first email: to help people find work they can love.

With over 350 students, a good portion of the student population at Mackenzie is part of this program. This program is one of a kind, giving students many opportunities both academically and non-academically.
